Exploring nature in Sharda Azad Kashmir Pakistan

Located on the banks of Neelum River, Sharada is one the tehsil of District Neelum and also known as Shardi. It is located around 136 KM in Northeast of Muzaffarabad at an altitude of 1981m. History of Sharada belongs to the ruins of famous temple and Hindu Pilgrimage site Sharada Peeth dedicated to goddess Sharada. Other historical sites include Sharada Fort and Kishan Ghaati. Sharada and Nardi are two mountain peaks overlooking Sharada in the valley. It remained a place of learning for Buddhist and Hindus for centuries.

Tourist can access Sharada through Neelum Road from Muzaffarabad. Buses run daily between Muzaffarabad and Sharada in good weather.
