Last month I finally made it to New York City, and it completely lived up to the hype. The energy, the lights, the food, the constant movement — everything felt alive. Here are some of my favorite moments from the trip.
Walking through Times Square at golden hour was pure magic. The giant screens, the yellow taxis, the crowds, and that unmistakable NYC buzz made me stop and just take it all in. I felt like I was inside a movie.
Grabbing a quick snack and checking my phone under the trees near a beautiful old church was such a simple but perfect New York moment. The city has this way of mixing chaos with quiet little pockets of calm.
Even the subway became part of the adventure. Stretching out after a long day of exploring, phone in hand, just existing in the rhythm of the city. There’s something strangely comforting about the underground world of New York.
Standing on a balcony overlooking the city as the sun went down felt dreamy. The soft light, the endless buildings, and that quiet feeling of being exactly where you’re supposed to be.
I also spent time just wandering the streets — red brick buildings, fire escapes, yellow traffic lights, and the everyday life of New Yorkers. These ordinary scenes somehow felt extraordinary. And then there was the rain. Instead of running for cover, I stood in the middle of the wet street with my arms up, laughing. Sometimes the best memories are the unplanned, messy, joyful ones.
New York gave me energy, freedom, and so many little moments I’ll keep replaying. From Times Square lights to quiet subway rides and sunset skies, this city really does stay with you.
Have you been to NYC? Which neighborhood or experience is your favorite?
