Ice Ring: Fashionable 24/7 Health Tracking at Your Fingertips

Omate, recognized for its smartwatches, recently launched the Ice Ring in Europe. This wearable, available through jewelry shops like Louis Pion, caters to both fashion and health monitoring.

In 2015, Omate collaborated with Emanuel Ungaro on a high-fashion smart ring for limited notification alerts. Fast forward to today, the Ice Ring serves as a 24/7 health monitor, tracking metrics such as heart rate, blood oxygen, stress, and activity levels.

This fashion-forward ring weighs just 2.9g, with a titanium alloy shell ensuring durability. It boasts water resistance to IP68 standards and integrates “state-of-the-art sensors” for health tracking. The companion mobile app connects via Bluetooth 5.1, offering reminders for physical activity and abnormal heart rates.

Supporting various sports modes, the Ice Ring facilitates route tracking using Google Maps and paired smartphone GPS. At night, it monitors sleep stages, providing users with an overall sleep score through an algorithm.

Powered by a 20-mAh LiPo battery, the Ice Ring boasts up to 6 days of “normal” use, with a swift 30-minute recharge time via a magnetic USB cable. Priced at €199, it comes in silver, gold, or black, with a US release expected in Q1 2024 at $199—positioning it competitively against the similar Oura Horizon.
